Some awesome blogs - Part one:

From time to time I have mentioned some of the blogs that I follow that compliment the purpose of this blog. Today I have three that I would like to highlight, one for anyone, one for couples and one for men.

If you were following my posts on my Facebook page back in December before I initiated this blog you are aware of this first blog, Marc and Angel Hack Life. Marc Chernoff and his wife Angel write this blog. If you think that Angel is the "silent" partner you are very wrong. She and Marc both write prolifically and insightfully for their blog. I have read them with interest for several years now. They write from no specific philosophical or theological perspective that I can discern. They address the human condition as it is and point the way to better choices and more healthy living. They do have a book that they promote but I have never found it intrusive or offensive and it never compromises the integrity of their posts.

The next is a delightful blog/podcast for couples, Sexy Marriage Radio. SMR is the brainchild of Dr. Corey Allan who hosts the podcast with Shannon Ethridge.

Dr. Corey is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He has been married for over 20 yrs. and has two kids. The website for his practice is: simplemarriage.net. SMR arose out of a need for accurate marital information from a Christian perspective.

Shannon Ethridge, Corey’s co-host, is a best-selling author, international speaker, certified life coach, and advocate for healthy sexuality with a master’s degree in counseling/human relations. The most readily recognized of her 20 published books are Every Woman’s Battle series. She has also been married for over 20 yrs and has two children.

The two of them have a wonderful rapport though they are quick to remind that they are not married to each other. Curiously, they are both married to CPS’s which provides an interesting back drop to their discussions. Their conversation is quick-witted and frank but always tasteful and always geared to the belief that the best sex happens in marriage.
